Project brief:
Senior capstone project that aims to rethink conventional foot orthotics.
I set out to understand the propensity of users afflicted by foot problems and their potential consequences. I discovered quickly that ill-fitting shoes are a major influencing factor in the development of treatable foot problems.
My next step was user interviews, experience mapping, more research into the current foot mapping technologies for orthotic manufacture, and UI studies of existing foot sizing apps on the market. Feel free to slide through some of my stages of this research process below.
